For an applicant willing to enlist, the interview with a military psychiatrist may result in being declared unfit. It is not just about screening individuals showing psychological disorders and for whom the inability is obvious. The assessment of the psychiatrist is more complex, because it has to take into account both the applicants’ potential and the capacity of the military structure to take them in.
