Diogenes syndrome: A lost work of art?

In this article, we wish once again to look at the problem of the Diogenes syndrome. First, we review the literature. Then we explore the most recent physiopathological explanations, which point to frontal dysfunction. Physiopathological hypotheses are still too sparse to be of any significance. Therefore, we were more inclined to turn toward a psychopathological model. We have previously described Diogenes as an alteration of the skin-ego. Now, going further, we propose to consider Diogenes as a lost work of art.
