Evaluating the risk of progressing towards a form of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder after a first episode of psychosis: The Predipsy project

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2019. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Being able to predict the clinical outcome following a first episode of psychosis (FEP) as soon as possible is crucial, and should allow the most appropriate care to be provided to patients. Several biomarkers for FEP outcome have already been proposed, including anatomical and functional neuroimaging, neuropsychological and biological biomarkers, but they still lack large-scale validation. In the Hauts-de-France region, the federation for mental health research (F2RSM) constituted radiologist-psychiatrist pairs and harmonized Magnetic Resonance Imaging sequences to be used in FEP, forming the “PSYMAC clinical network.” We expect to develop and generalize such a network nationwide. The final objective will be to construct and validate a prediction algorithm based on 4 meta-variables: (a) structural and functional MRI, (b) biological data (genetic markers), and (c) clinical and (d) neuropsychological data, all collected during an FEP, to predict the clinical outcome 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years following an FEP.
