Socio-sanitary follow-ups for patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses: The PASSVers experiment in Versailles

Based on a report published by the Centre de preuves de Psychiatrie et Santé Mentale (Center for Evidence in Psychiatry and Mental Health), we set up a socio-sanitary follow-up system in our psychiatry sector. This has been implemented within the CMP, involving three social workers who remain attached to their home institution, which is either social or medical-social. This system has had a major impact on patients, caregivers, and social workers, encouraging recovery and destigmatization by decompartmentalizing institutions and enabling the exchange of viewpoints. It can easily be implemented throughout France, improving the life course of patients with severe psychiatric disorders.
