Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Pregabalin is an analogue of gamma-aminobutyric acid and is used as an anticonvulsant. It is approved for the treatment of epilepsy, generalized anxiety disorder, and neuropathic pain. Pregabalin has been reported to be associated with several cases of abuse or dependence. We present the case of a schizophrenic patient with a history of problematic use of psychoactive substances who was hospitalized for treatment of a psychotic episode with Pregabalin dependency over the course of a year. The treatment was both pharmacological and psychotherapeutic, and showed good progress. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of the disorder associated with Pregabalin use in Morocco. There is a need to highlight the distinctive form this disorder takes among Moroccans.
