At the Vinatier Hospital in the Rhône, the Elderly Psychiatry Unit (PSYPA) cares for people over the age of sixty-five. The increase in the number of complex situations has led to the creation of new care lines. The teams of the transversal service of the PSYPA unit intervene at home, while the mobile team in Elderly Psychiatry (EMPsyPA) evaluates the clinical situation and refers the patient. The Intersectoral Home Psychiatric Care Service (SPID) provides short-term intensive individual care. The Family Guidance Center (CGF) offers family group care to relieve family psychic suffering. Some situations lead them to work in synergy, taking each facet of the crisis into account. Based on a shared clinical situation, we will illustrate our practices and open up the discussion on the value of a collaborative effort in individual crisis situations that impact the family balance.
