The need to train professionals in the health and education sectors is at the heart of governmental plans for the prevention of violent radicalization. However, few studies have evaluated these training programs or reflected on the processes they involve. Based on the qualitative analysis of training courses on the prevention of violent radicalization in Quebec, this article examines the methods of transmitting knowledge on this theme. By describing the trends that certain content has generated within the groups of participants during the training, we show that the ability to contain the uncertainty and anxiety generated by the magnitude of phenomena of violent radicalization is one of the main challenges that these training programs face. Lastly, the methods that favor the establishment of a climate of trust in the context of training courses are discussed in a broader way.
