By exploring some important aspects of Henri Wallon’s psychology, this article seeks to demonstrate how individual psychogenesis and social environment are interconnected in his work, as well as the importance of the dialectical model inherited from Marx in conceptualizing this interplay. It then goes on to examine the continuation of Wallon’s ideas by other French thinkers, psychologists, and philosophers.
