This article focuses on in situ heritagization as a field of cultural, memorial, and political action concerning the material traces of a past Jewish presence in Egypt. It explores the initiatives and challenges involved in including Jewish heritage within Egyptian national heritage, in a context where the Jewish presence has almost disappeared from the country.
