The author presents the specific case of linguistic policy designed around the Autonomous Community of Galicia (Spain) and aimed at the business sector, in addition to its reception among managers and their employees. She analyzes the provisions developed from the approval of the Law of Linguistic Normalization up to the year 2000 under the General Directorate for Language Policy of the Xunta de Galicia (DXPL), and reports on the data for oral and written uses in Galician businesses. The aim is therefore to evaluate an aspect of the institutional linguistic policy of the government of Galicia.
