This article is the result of a reflection on the transmission of native languages in the context of regional mobility. We examine the future of the Kabyle language in Batna. Based on a questionnaire survey, we carried out a qualitative analysis of perceptions and language practices within families, as described by ten or so Kabyle informants living in Batna. We also took into account the variable of whether each individual belonged to the first, second, or third generation of individuals in mobility situations.
