What Kind of Community Engenders Faith?

Confronted to their flaws and weaknesses, Christian communities very often generate indifference, even rejection, in Western societies. The author invites us to read once more how the errors and limits of our communities are transcended by God to become fruitful. He presents the Old Testament’s figure of the matriarch Sarai, who became Sarah through divine benevolence, who reflects the ambivalence and challenges of Christian communities. Renewed hope may result from this source of inspiration.
