The number of teenage baptisms is increasing in France. This article looks at what triggers them steps towards baptism and how they are supported. It also analyses the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, the reference ritual for leading these catechumens to the sacraments of initiation. The Service National de la Catéchèse et du Catéchuménat has published pastoral notes to adapt its implementation. Finally, it describes the diocesan organisation that has been set up to support and train the adults who accompany these young catechumens.
