Impact of Covid-19 on the digitization of food supply chains

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2024. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The globalization of exchanges characterized by a massification of flows has shaken up the food industry, in particular food supply chains (FSCs). They must meet increasingly stringent consumer demands in terms of product quality, safety, and sustainability. The question is how this sector responds. In line with the related interest of management science and the lack of quantitative analyses, the aim here is to propose a bibliometric analysis of FSCs and their evolution since the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, the results show a significant increase in management literature dealing with FSCs, especially between 2020 and 2022. Keyword co-occurrences show the emergence of themes around digitalization and the three principles of sustainable development. Finally, the analysis details how the managerial literature on FSCs is inspired by the theoretical foundations of economics and management science. These results highlight the evolution of the sector in sync with the new societal challenges.
