Defend the Public Liberties in the French Army: the Ligue des droits de l’homme and the Committee for rights and liberties in the military institution
Type de matériel :
41
The creation of the CDLIM in 1978 by the League for Human Rights aimed to criticise the French Army without advocating for antimilitarism. Focused on the defence of public liberties, this Committee used the law as a political weapon. The victory of the French Socialist Party in 1981 transformed it into a watchdog organisation against the new power in office.
