This article proposes, through a literature review, to examine the limits of diversity management traditionally carried out by the HR function within organizations and to set the stage for their renewal through an inclusive approach. We show that the results of these policies may go against their fundamental imperative of social justice. The inclusive approach makes it possible to consider new HR and managerial practices through the transformational processes of organizational and group behaviors. This approach is intended to be humanistic and puts into perspective the concept of diversity management, which promotes diversity as a resource that is valuable for both individuals and the organization. In this process, we propose a framework to redesign diversity management within organizations through the implementation of new postures conducive to true inclusive workplaces. We particularly emphasize the importance for the actors to adopt a “capacitating” posture, which consists of developing collaborators’ decision-making powers as well as the power to react.
