Since 2007, the world economy and population have been facing a series of interrelated economic, social, and environmental crises. The severity of the current crisis is aggravated by the temporal convergence between the long-term environmental degradation brought about by industrial capitalism on the one hand and the short-term objectives of valorization set by finance capital on the other.
