Type de matériel :

This paper analyzes the link between the process of regional economic integration in East Asia and the history of two major recent economic crises: 1997, the so-called Asian crisis, and 2007, the subprime crisis, ten years later. In 1997, an economic crisis occurred in Asia and forced countries to put in place the bases of a regional financial and monetary regime. In 2007, a new crisis began in the United States and later expanded worldwide. In Asia, countries decided to deepen their cooperation, particularly over monetary matters, thereby strengthening the regional regime.
