Impact of Attractiveness Factors of Territories on the Future Production of Urban Waste in Algeria

We use econometrics to project the future production of urban waste in the 48 wilayas (regions) of Algeria. The analysis shows that the production of urban waste in Algeria is positively related to several factors: population density and retail trade have a positive effect. The study estimates production of future urban waste at 38 million tons in 2025.
