By highlighting the various ways in which ecosystems contribute to human well-being, the assessment of ecosystem services (ES) is recognized as a key tool to support the protection and sustainable management of nature. We reviewed existing literature on coral reef, mangrove and seagrass ES in Pacific Small Island Developing States, a region that is highly vulnerable to current oceanic changes. Our results highlight geographic and methodological research gaps and underscore the need to increase the use of non-monetary indicators in ES assessments. They also show the value of considering inputs from the grey literature in ES analyses. JEL Classification: Q57, Q58
