In this conversation, Karlessi, a member of the group Ippolita discusses the darker face of Google, which, with the help of cookies, finds ever finer ways to profile Internet users. The information is gathered in order to allow for a close match between advertisement and the individual targeted. This leads to an impoverishment of research in the Net, increasingly submitted to the hegemony of a single search engine. For this reason, Ippolita proposes a new form of agency through the use of “scookies,” which allow Internet users to exchange their cookies and erase all the traces that allow Google to profile them. Ultimately, the intention is to make a poet out of each one of us !
