The article describes the plurality of feminist protest movements that demand the transformation of social structures in Iran. While reviewing the origins of the feminist movement before and after the revolution, the author — who is one of the founders of the One Million Signatures movement (2005-2012) — examines the campaign to change discriminatory laws and critically looks at the organizational configuration and methods used by feminist activists in the socio-political context of the time. Over the past decade, multifaceted movements and multi-voiced uprisings have flourished despite harsh repression.
