Between the Chilean Estallido of October 2019 and the results of the referendum for or against the text of a new Constitution promoting parity, ecological and inclusivity, Chile will have been a center of attention for observers from around the world. Having opened an institutional path for collective aspirations, this process awakened hopes everywhere. After the astonishing refusal of the new Constitution, the country seems to have fallen into a blind spot in international analyses. This temporary defeat of progressivism can, however, inform us about social, emotional and political phenomena that are being experienced all over the world.
