From David and Bathsheba to the kings and history of Israel. A narrative and theological study of 2 Sam 11-12 (2)
Type de matériel :

Having shown the coherence of 2 Sam 11-12 in an initial part (NRT 140, 2018, p. 177-196), one tries to measure the narrative importance of this diptych in its literary context. A typology is outlined: the sin of David and Bathsheba is emblematic of the lives of the kings of Israel and of their people but already harks back also to the story of Adam and Eve. Sin does not lead God to destroy his people but to renew his covenant, in the punishment itself.
