The Church in search of identity: Paul’s second missionary journey (Acts 15:36-21:14)
Type de matériel :

Chapters 15 to 21 of the Acts of the Apostles describe Paul’s second and third missionary journeys. Without succumbing to mere anecdote, Luke proposes a spiritual discernment of the identity of the newborn Church throughout this narrative. This discernment requires, in a concrete way, a tribute to Israel, as well as the generous welcome of pagan persons and institutions, which are nevertheless subject to the judgment of the Gospel. In this way, the project of what can be called a “Lucanian ecumenism” is taking shape.
