Adolescent figures in exile: From suspended adolescence to contested adolescence
Type de matériel :
71
Exposed to extreme violence during their migration journey, exiled adolescents have had to face a position of solitude, sometimes accompanied by a leap into the void, at the risk of finding themselves outside the world. These experiences result in a break-in of intrapsychic, intersubjective, and transsubjective containers, and a breakdown of the work of historization. The psychic time of adolescence is then suspended, crushed, leaving a hole between childhood and adulthood, preventing the subject from occupying identificatory positions in a dialectic between permanence and change. Photolanguage groups are envisaged as a device promoting the figuration of trauma and the re-humanization of the link to the adult human Other, relying on the group as a helping figure.
