The main theme of Isa 60 is Zion personified, a city shining with the light of divine glory. This article recalls some features of the polymorphic figure of Zion-Jerusalem in the book of Isaiah and then examines the changes of point of view in this oracle, at the spatial, temporal and psychological levels. It highlights the author’s adoption of the female perspective of Zion, a process which, mutatis mutandis, encourages contemporary church communities to listen more to the word of women.
