Hyperactivity and Psychosis in the Child: The Usefulness of Projective Methods in Perfecting Diagnoses

This article proposes to compare the projective protocols of two children presenting similar symptoms of attention deficit with hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) according to the hospital staff. One of the children was diagnosed with clinical psychosis and was thus excluded from psycho-stimulant treatment. The clinical diagnosis of ADHD for the other patient was maintained. How were these diagnoses affected when they were reviewed in the light of projective methods?
