Overdeveloped Intelligence: The Legacy of Infantile Depression?

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2011. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : From the biography of little Blaise, and Pascal’s Fragments, we wish to introduce our projective clinical work on depression as found in exceptionally gifted young children from 3 to 6 years of age, and to question the current diagnoses which are oriented towards a specific psychopathological expression in subjects with high intellectual potential. Can we discover the incidence of high potential on the expression of depression in the Rorschach, and if so, how does it differ from projective expressions found in depression among children who are not so exceptionally gifted ? We shall refer to our own cases of “not exceptionally gifted depressive children” and those found in the literature, to establish comparisons with our small group of subjects who are “exceptionally gifted depressive children”.
