From a viewpoint of psychoanalytic psychopathology, the authors propose to apprehend the process of change in children on the basis of the projective tests of two children diagnosed with adhd. These children were encountered two times : first, during an initial evaluation and then after two years of a drug treatment program associated with psychotherapy. The analysis of processes of change take several criteria into account as they have been isolated by the authors : the study of treatment modalities of excitation and the bonding work of affect/representation, a view of the distribution between narcissistic and objectal cathexes, the study of adaptive capacities, the analysis of identificatory modalities and finally, an apprehension of the balance between anxiety and defensive organisation.
