Clinical considerations for fertility preservation in girls and boys
Type de matériel :
15
Fertility preservation in young patients depends on the pubertal status. In pubertal girls, oocytes and ovarian tissue cryopreservation are routinely applied. For prepubertal girls, cryopreservation of immature ovarian tissue is the only possibility. For pubertal boys, cryopreservation of sperm is the technique of choice. For prepubertal boys, cryopreservation of immature testicular tissue is the only option. Transplantation of immature ovarian tissue has already led to live births, but no fertility restoration technique has been performed for prepubertal boys.
