The main objective of this research is to study the concept of community of practice in relation to the field of child protection. This research note is focused not only on the theory itself but also on the various existing models, on how the manager deciphers these professional practices, and on the possible ways to develop this tool in a dimension of professional project management. If the links that define the communities of practice and the general bases of its operation are established, it is interesting to note that a self-organized community of practice can evolve towards the development of a service project accompanied by the manager.
