The Other Morocco

"This article creates an ex-post assessment of proposed solutions to existing obstacles through a five year projection beyond the Cumin Revolution and in so doing avoids political fiction. This original approach makes it possible to revisit old questions, left unanswered. The monarchy, political Islam, the economy, emigration, the daily struggle, the tensions between generations and between modernity and tradition are all revisited from the perspective of the near future. The New Morocco, a real utopia, may seem like a pipe dream, a country stuck in a waiting room with the current wait-and-see policy. Yet the other Morocco-a country where life would be easy and pleasant-is within reach."
