In the Christian tradition, the revolutionary presence of women during the early period has then been erased by the predominance of patriarchal power. But, nowadays, a cultural revolution is bringing women back on stage. These women remember that their forebears occupied a privileged position in their relation to Jesus and propose new and interesting interpretations of the texts. Yet, women continue to be excluded from the government of the Church: a rereading of canon law that would integrate the overtures to the laity made by Vatican II could constitute a promising path to allow them finally to become co-responsible within the Church.
