The loss of biodiversity through the lens of New Public Management: The blind spot of ecological indicators
Type de matériel :
97
New Public Management induces the growing influence of onjective-driven policies inside regional natural parks (RNP). In order to legitimize their choices of biodiversity management, RNPs resort to ecological indicators. These indicators become mandatory. Their dissemination produces a rigid framing of biodiversity, to which the living environment cannot be reduced. The dissemination of these indicators contributes to limiting understanding of the crisis of territorial biodiversity to the terms that these indicators can quantify.
