Type de matériel :
52
Language, a central marker of identity, undergoes transformations during adolescence, particularly among bilingual teens for whom changeability in code preferences can indicate defensive distancing. Changing languages is used as a sign of disengagement from parents, the family’s culture of origin, and their way of communicating. While being attributed to the group, changes in language can be a visible and notable sign of intrapsychic mechanisms of distancing, acculturation, and affiliation.
