Talking to teenagers about babies: preventing violence
Type de matériel :
45
The author begins by describing an experiment he is conducting in a high school in Romilly-sur-Seine with a teacher (Marie Biot), which consists of talking to teenagers (in the second or first year of secondary school) about babies. This action leads the teenagers to think about the babies they were and aims to help them to better welcome the babies they may have one day. The aim is therefore to help teenagers to become parents, but also to help them to respect psychological life in all its forms, hence the wider aim of preventing intolerance and violence in general. All this is only possible because of the great sensitivity of adolescents towards babies and the author then evokes a certain number of convergences between the psychic functioning of the two. Some of these convergences have been known for a long time, others are of more recent knowledge insofar as the development of baby psychiatry now allows us to revisit this period of adolescence somewhat. All these reflections are based on the dynamics of the aftermath.
