Type de matériel :

This paper investigates what chess contributes to psychological diagnoses and to adolescent psychotherapy in the school environment. After discussing a few theoretical points about the game of chess and its psychological aspects, this paper provides detailed examples of how chess games reveal projections, fears, and defense mechanisms that pertain to the psychological problem of the patient. Furthermore, direct interpretations of what appears during the game may sharpen awareness, which may induce change in the teenager’s life.
