Tackling the issue of cannabis use in adolescence remains difficult, especially between parents and children. Starting from general epidemiological data on the use of cannabis in adolescence and the clinical experience of consultations with young consumers, we will present the experiential value that this use can take on at the specific period of development that is adolescence, with its issues of individuation within an ecological and family environment. Adapting professional postures and supporting parents to become actors in developmental issues, undermined by substance use, enables adolescents to allow themselves to invest this space-time of speech in order to individuate themselves.
