Freud’s last works and post-Kleinian and post-Freudian contributions introduce theories that give the object a role in the psychic organization of non-neurotic personalities. This role is rooted in the analysand’s most ancient past. This paper examines the consequences for the analyst, his role as the object of transference (creating a satisfying experience, the analyst’s regressive capacities), the consequences for his psychoanalytic technique (ten techniques are proposed and discussed for a relationship of exchange to develop between analysand and analyst).
