Lifespan Integration (LI) psychotherapy is a recent treatment whose effectiveness needs to be assessed. Does mentally revisiting the past enable personal recovery ? We will explore this question through the evaluation of Fabien’s therapy. In accordance with the change process research (CPR) paradigm, we interviewed this patient at the end of his therapy. By cross-referencing these data with those from the therapist-researcher, we can describe significant changes in the five personal recovery processes: connectedness, hope and optimism about the future, identity, meaning in life, and empowerment (Leamy et al., 2011).
