In this paper, we suggest to draw on a research dispositif which we call « diplomatic » after Stengers, Merleau-Ponty and Latour. This inquiry deals with the issue of reflexivity of scientists. Along the article we explore, together with the scientists whom we met, different modes which may translate such « reflexivity ». However, each of those modes invite us to consider different ways of sharing this problem and to elaborate it further with them. In such a way, not only does the question of « reflexivity » diverge, but also the very meaning of our diplomatic approach. In this respect, we suggest a joint exploration of the manifold meanings of both the reflexivity of scientists and of the diplomatic practices.
