After penning a ‘Forget Marx’ which left no residual remorse, and pursuing a reflection on the great authors which have impressed on an intellectual itinerary, it is here asked if one would also better forget Freud. Yet it seems that with psychoanalysis something irreplaceable subsists : psychoanalysis can help decode social pathologies. But it will stay alive only if it realizes that our civilizational malaise is transforming today into a globalized psychic plague.
