Seminars, long under-studied in the history of economic thought, are now considered as worthy historical objects. This article contributes to this growing trend by studying a series of seminars entitled “Seminar on Trust and Social Change” held at King’s College Cambridge from 1985 to 1986. Organised by sociologist Diego Gambetta, this seminar acted as a genuine interface for scientific exchanges and allowed two parallel research programs to exchange methods and objects so as to form a interdisciplinary program on the notion of trust.
