This contribution studies the possibility that theology might accompany subjects in their existential itinerary by specifically treating the question of the relations between ethics and faith. To do this, the author begins by describing the contemporary context in which the issue of identity arises. This permits us to locate some points of confrontation and define the significant shifts between so-called ”traditional“ morals and the post or ultra-modern ambiance that characterizes today’s world. The author goes on to explore the possibility of proposing faith in such a world through the notion of the founding instability of Christianity, finally drawing some ethical implications from the path covered.
