From an Anglican perspective, a “social doctrine” which considers a commitment to law and justice as constitutive of the Christian faith must include an explicit proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ. All the characteristics of mission must be honoured, lest the social institutions founded by Christians become secularised without anything more to offer and the reality of the Kingdom is not lived out and proclaimed.
