— The right to good administration in the European Union’s Charter of Fundamental Rights — The inclusion of the right to good administration in the European Union’s Charter of Fundamental Rights is the result of a process that has taken a long time to come to fruition. It required clarification concerning who bears the right and with regard to whom, and above all its content. It constitutes the lynchpin of a process which, with the help of the Court, will lead to an improvement in required standards as well as an important step in the direction of democracy in public administration through what is known as “better lawmaking”.
