This article looks at the emerging forms of public action, “the lab test” or “nudge” that radically change methods, passage of time, and actor’s involvement in the public sphere. It shows how these new forms provide an alternative to regulation and efficiently contribute to strengthen public action. It lifts the idea that taking into consideration the actual citizen and not just an abstract vision of it helps to better regulate and legislate. These methods are based on the observation of practices and behaviors, multidisciplinary culture and experimentation. It is now time to address the challenge of the dissemination.
