The Birth of the Ego
Type de matériel :
42
The psychotic subject is constituted brutally and painfully, via the creation of a dual and contradictory object, made up of an object and a non-object (the mother and the non-mother). This birth of the ego thus arises in the context of a drive movement towards the object. This movement is both traumatic and structuring, organising as it does desire and rejection, the relation to lack of pleasure and hate, original phantasies and primary identifications. Such then is the nature of the original Œdipus complex.
