In the first investigation of the case of Gisèle, a genetic continuity from childhood in the absence of the transformations of adolescence are shown in the clinical findings. This results in a form of character pathology which is encouraged or else determined by a kind of narcissistic contract with her parents and the family group. Such a case leads to an interrogation of the relationships between infantile and adult sexuality, and the psychosomatic models of puberty and adolescence.
